Get fit for summer by swimming outdoors every day of the month of June.
Taking an idea posted on the Outdoor Swimming Society facebook page to swim outdoors every day through the month of June, if anyone fancies taking up the challenge it would be fun to collate and publish here or in the newsletter people’s June Challenge diaries. Clearly we’d like to see the Lido feature high amongst people’s outdoor swimming venues in their quest to meet the challenge, but anywhere outdoors counts.
So if you think you’re up to committing yourself to an outdoor swim every day of June, be it in river, lake, sea or of course Lido, get recording your swims from Tuesday next week and send them to us at the end of the month.
If you’re looking for outdoor swimming spots away from the Lido, try visiting the Outdoor Swimming Society’s website or Facebook pages.

I’m on target for completing the June Challenge. Lots of Lido swimming (of course) with a few sea, river and lake swims added in.

If it gets busy lets gather down the Wey and have a swim there!

Links to useful places for outdoor venues (other than our lovely Lido, which it goes without saying should be everyone’s priority place to swim in Surrey) but even I’ll concede a bit of variety will make the June challenge a little more interesting.
